The 2013 Digital Girl of the Year™ Awards are destined for three girls*, one per age category, who live and/or study in Europe and distinguish themselves and their communities by demonstrating, promoting and/or actually increasing:
- Digital skills among girls and women;
- Participation of girls and women in digital studies and careers; and/or
- Use of digital skills and know-how for the benefit of society.
Age Categories:
Award nominations and submissions will be accepted for girls in three age categories:
- 10 years and under;
- 11-to-14 years old; and
- 15-to-17 years old.
Submission Deadline:
13 September 2013 at 18:00 GMT is the deadline for submission of completed nominations for the 2013 Digital Girl of the Year™ Awards in all age categories. Please refer to the 2013 Award Calendar for additional timing and deadlines.

Winner Announcement & Awards:
On 7 October 2013, winners of the 2013 Digital Girl of the Year™ Awards in all categories will be announced on this website and subsequently publicised on the websites and communication channels of the Award Partners.
Winners’ submissions will be showcased at the ICT 2013 event, 6-8 November 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Prize winners in the two older age categories (11-to-14 years old and 15-to-17 years old) and an adult chaperone may be eligible to attend an Award Ceremony at ICT 2013.
General Guidelines:
- Nominations for 2013 Digital Girl of the Year™ Award must be made by a legal guardian on behalf of the nominee.
- Deadlines for submissions must be respected for nominations to be valid. Nominations must be submitted in their entirety to be considered valid.
- Content submitted for Award consideration becomes property of AWACA BVBA, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
